The portal is a service that plays a fundamental role in realising the Virtual Organisations and the Virtual Research Environments a gCube based infrastructure support. In order to play this role, it has been equipped with a set of administrative portlets through which authorised users (users having the role of VRE-Manager or VO-Admin) can perform the following actions:
- can create and modify the layout of a VO/VRE;
- administer the roles and users of the portal;
- organise the Information Space;
- import new collections;
- manage indices;
- manage resources.
