This section describes a step-by-step process for creating a new Virtual Organization within a gCube infrastructure. After having installed some gHNs, the main steps of a VO creation require the installation of the VO enabling services and the VO level services. The former are the mandatory services of the enabling layer needed to glue together the VO nodes, while the latter are a set of services optionally deployed at VO level to support a specific deployment scenario. In fact, in order to optimize performances or reduce the needed steps, a VO Manager could decide to have group of services, typically the Content Management, the Indexes and the Metadata Management, at VO level and share them (or part of their state) at VRE level. Finally, this section reports on a set of steps that must be performed to configure the VO services and the portal.
