Through the Ontology Admin Portlet the administrators of the VO/VREs can manage ontologies. This portlet provides all the required functionality to manage ontology models in course grained manner. To this end, the administrators can use the interface to import or remove the available ontology models. The portal provides two ways to import an ontology:
- Importing of ontology from a URL
- Importing of ontology from a text area
This functionality is depicted in the screenshots below:
When selecting to import an ontology model from URL, the administrator needs to fill in the necessary information about the ontology (the name and the URI of the ontology as well as the URL from which the ontology will be uploaded)
When choosing to import an ontology from a text area, the administrator need to fill in the same information for the ontology as before, but he also needs to specify inside the available text area the source text of the rdf/owl data of the ontology.
